Phone Friends
The Phone Friends project gives isolated older people a friendly voice on the end of the line on a regular basis for a good chat. The call can last from 5 minutes to an hour, and the length of the call will be agreed between the client and the 'Phone Friend'.
Becoming a Phone Friend Volunteer is a great way to brighten up someone's life, and does not require a big time commitment. Often, the Phone Friend Volunteer will get just as much out of the relationship as their client, and lasting friendships are formed.
