Information & Advice Service
Age Concern Southampton Information and Advice Service holds the Community Legal Service Quality Mark at the General Help level and is an Alternative Office for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP)
We can provide Information and Advice by telephone, email, or letter. Our City Centre premises are open between 10am – 4pm, Monday to Friday
but we do suggest telephoning us first on 02380 368636 as you may need to make an appointment.

We can provide details of our service to groups and agencies on request. We do not currently provide home visits.
We have access to a wide range of information from our stock of books and leaflets, as well as information available on our computer and from the Internet. We provide free access to the Internet to our clients and an assisted search if required. We can guide you to the appropriate local and national organisations.
We hold information on everything from Allowances to Zimmers, from keeping warm to foot care, and on health and social care, transport and consumer issues.
As an Alternative Office for the DWP we can accept benefit claims and applications from people aged sixty and over, for:
